I was just talking to my sister on the phone which is an almost daily occurrence. We were laughing about the things that were "normal" to us growing up. Things that would make other people surely look at us a little strange. We usually had goats while we were growing up. For the pure fact that they would eat EVERYTHING. Including the blackberry bushes which grow like crazy in Oregon and unless contained will cover every square inch of your property. Well, in order to keep the goats from jumping over the fence or getting their heads stuck in the fence, our parents would chain them to a tire. Yeah, picture a small goat being chained to a tire and dragging it everywhere it went for it's entire life. It makes me laugh just thinking about it. We thought this was completely normal. My parent's still get a goat on occasion to keep their lower property cleared. And yes, they still chain it to a tire!!!

That is so funny! Yes, that is different from my childhood. :) Strange when you get older you realize how not really normal you are. At least I do!
that is hilarious! i can just picture it! things like that make me realize how innocent we are as little children. we grow up doing what we do and don't realize how weird or abnormal it was until we are older and see that no one else did the things we did growing up. i wish i still had that innocence!
