Thank you for sharing that. That is so sweet! I have always had a added measure of love for people with down syndrome. I love it when kids just throw their arms around them and make those situations memorable for them. There was a boy in our high school and he was a manager for a lot of the sports teams and most of the boys treated him like a king. During my sophmore year of highschool he asked me to prom so I went. It was so worth every minute because of the joy it brought him.

You know I was surprised about how much flack I got from a lot of the girls at my school. They kept saying I was just going with him to get to the prom and then I was going to ditch him. They were COMPLETELY missing the point. I of course went for him and dance every dance with him. It made me sad for them because they couldn't see how much was to gain and so little to give.

I love hearing stories like that. My nephew is 12 and has Down Syndrome and he is so special. Its great to see kids treating them like regular kids and not someone with a disability. Thanks for sharing that it brought tears to my eyes.

I love to see that kind of good in people. Thanks for sharing. I especially love the smile at the very end when she reached up and touched her crown again. So sweet.

What a wonderful video. I have a niece with autism. She has such a sweet spirit - she truly "gets" life!

I loved that story. We saw it on the news the other night. So, did you study special ed in college, then?

Yes, I did get a degree in Special Ed.
