Yesterday my sister and I did some baking. We made these yummy cinnamon rolls from Pioneer Woman. If you have not checked this blog out then you need to. She is a fantastic writer and a great cook. I have been dying to make these little gems ever since Merilee gave me a pan of them. I ate the whole pan. The entire pan. Not a morsel left over for another member of the family. So last night when they were complete, i took my fork and a pan and settled myself on the couch. My sister said I couldn't do that so I sadly put them back on the counter and took the one little one she put on a plate for me. The funny thing is that Chris didn't even bat an eye at my attempt to eat the whole pan. Funny and sad. They are sinfully good. You will never want to share. We also made some great toffee that Krista found a recipe for in Sunset Magazine. You sprinkle sea salt on top along with melted chocolate and nuts. So you get that salty sweet taste that makes you want to run over and kiss the first guy you see. Luckily for me that person was Chris.
I have a crazy week ahead. Don't you all? Family get togethers, meals to cook, work, delivering gifts, shipping gifts. Yep, you heard right, I still have to ship a couple of things. I'm a little behind this year. But hey, i got all my Christmas cards out. I'm feeling pretty good about that.

Okay, I'm really sad I don't live closer to you! I NEED to try those rolls, I'm so afraid of making bread though! I guess I'll just have to bite the bullet and give it a shot.
Wow, you will be busy! Good luck with all of that. Maybe since Krista is in town you can have her run to the post office and stuff for you while you're at work. It will be kind of like cloning yourself:)
And, doesn't it just figure that the furnace would give out? I'm glad you have a wood stove to pull through for you!
MMMmmm, you made the rolls! yumness! Good luck with your super crazy week. And if you want to bring me a cinnamon roll, please feel free.
Those rolls look devine!! I REALLY want to make them...I bet they have a LOAD of butter since they are a REE recipe. Scrumptious!
How fun to have your sister in town! Enjoy your time together :)
Wow, those cinnamon rolls look so yummy. Please count our girls night as visiting teaching. You have way too much going on this week to try to squeeze me in. VTing shouldn't be stressful. Just fun. Like Thurs night. So don't worry about it.
Glad you guys are nice and warm now!
yea! you can bring us some cinnamon rolls too, if you feel the urge! they look so delish! i saw these on PW and wanted to try them, but i knew it would eat all of them! so, i just looked and drooled and looked some more!

I have never made toffee but always wanted to. Is it hard? Sounds so good right now.
Those cinnamon rolls look so good! I was just thinking that I ought to find a recipe that I could make for Christmas morning. So...perfect timing! Thanks!
YUMMY! I am going to have to try out that recipe. It's holiday baking so much fun.
In fact I just got your card today, you guys are beautiful! Hope you have a great Christmas!

Wow, those cinamon rolls really look amazing. You'll have to poast the recipe so we can enjoy them too.
Ok, so I want to make the cinnamon rolls but I have no coffee for the icing. Any suggestions on what I can use instead?
I didn't use the coffee in mine. I just used a little bit more milk and added some vanilla extract along with the maple flavoring. I personally would have loved the coffee flavor but I know children probably wouldn't like it.
okay, darilyn that is the heavenliest toffee i have EVER had!! that salt makes all the difference! YUM YUM!! thank you SO much!
Thanks again for the idea for these! I made them today for my neighbors (and us) and they look and smell so good! I haven't tried one yet, but thanks, I never would have found them otherwise!
