Dear Jon....

Dear Jon Schmidt,

I wanted to let you know how much it meant to my daughter to meet you. She had a fabulous time and keeps saying, "Jon said this and Jon said that."  I love that she's on a first name basis with you.  You asked her about her piano playing.  She loved that.  She loved that she got to sit next to you at dinner.  You had chicken, she had fettucini alfredo.  Apparently your chicken was really good and you tried to get her to eat some. What a nice guy you are.

You also gave her one of your CDs and although it was a hard decision, she went with the hymns version so she could listen to it year-round.  She still wants your Christmas CD....badly.  I am so grateful as her mom that she had this opportunity to meet you and see what can come from one's talents.  You are talented, and thank you for sharing that talent with the world.  I am also grateful that you are so nice.

The front of our piano is scattered  with various music pieces of yours.  When I walk by the piano and see it, I am still in awe that she got this opportunity to spend the day at both of your concerts being an usher and spending time with you.

It was one day and evening she will never forget.

Sincerely,

Darilyn May

Smiles, smiles, smiles. She was awesome! I'm so glad she got the opportunity, too. It was great to have her help me out. It was nice to get to know her, too. We did lots of fun chatting. What a great girl!

I don't know who the guy is... except that he's musical.

But he sounds pretty awesome to me:)
